Animation film design artists who create visuals, render them and give those visuals the illusion of movement this collective process is called animation. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film television and video games. They generally specialize in animation for gaming, filmmaking, education, etc. They create a visual script consisting of initial drawings on paper followed by computer renderings for the animation sequence, with key scenes and characters. They use computer programs to create graphic images and animation.

Skills required for animation film design are Artistic skills, Knowledge of CAD, Appreciation of aesthetics, should have the ability to express ideas through drawings, Creativity, Ability to work at odd hours, Good color sense and Good visual imagination.

A bachelor’s degree in animation, computer graphics, fine art or a related field is required. No experience is required for entry-level jobs; however, 2 to 5 years of experience may be required for more advanced roles. Key skills include artistic ability; creativity; communication, coordination, critical thinking and time-management skills; and the ability to visualize artistic concepts and use computer imaging and editing software. The average salary of Rs.70,000 to Rs.80,000, but it depends on the scale of the project.


UCEED Cutoff and Results

Design is One of the fastest-growing job-creating domains across the globe. Design education is the first step for any student who wants to pursue a carrier in design. The undergraduate common entrance exam for design UCEED is conducted for admission into 4 years of b.des.

It is a national level entrance exam on clearing the exam admissions will be offered to the eligible candidates by IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT DM Jabalpur, UCEED is conducted every year by IIT Bombay under the UCEED seat implementation committee.

By finishing the initial procedures, the candidates will be attending the examination in January. The UCEED result will be announced at the begging of March.

The application for the b.des programme will be available in June. UCEED exam pattern

It will be beneficial for the candidates is to be familiar with the exam pattern before commencing their preparation for the examination. UCEED is the computer-based examination where the students will answer the questions through an online mood. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours. the question paper will be of a maximum of 300 marks.

The question paper will be in the English language. The question paper will be consisting of 3 sections.

Section-A numerical answer type. Section – B multiple select question. And Section -C multiple choice questions.

The UCEED syllabus the questions will be set from the topics such as visualization and spatial ability, observation and design sensitivity, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, creativity & design thinking and problem solving, etc.

UCEED qualified candidates must apply separately for the b.des admission after the result declaration. UCEED results will be declared online. UCEED qualified candidates can download the core cards along with their results. The authority will also prepare the rank list based on the total marks obtained by the candidate in the exam.

Once the result is announced UCEED cut-off will be released category wise and institute-wise for admission to all participating institutes which includes IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT DM Jabalpur.

Candidates can check UCEED cut-off form the official website. The candidate who qualified UCEED will be awarded an overall and category wise rank. The UCEED rank list will be prepared by IIT Bombay based on the mark scored in the written entrance exam.

Only candidates who scored the minimum prescribed marks in each section of the paper and minimum total marks will be included in the rank list.

Several factors are taken into consideration while determining the cut-off for the UCEED exam. Some such important factor is the number of candidates appeared in UCEED exam, the difficulty level of the paper, the total number of eating available and last year cut-off trends.

NID Ahmedabad

National Institute of Design is one of the leading design institutes in the country.

The institute functions as an autonomous body under the department for the promotion of industry and internal trade DPIIT. Ministry of commerce and industry. NID Ahmedabad is recognized by the department of scientific and industrial research under the ministry of science and technology, the government of India, scientific and industrial design research organization.

NID is accorded as an institute of national importance by an act of parliament under the national institute of design act 2014. NID has a remarkable history that few of us are aware of. As a result of the industrial policy resolution act of 1956, Shri Jawaharlal Nehru the then prime minister of India the government of India invited the design team of Charles and Ray Eames to recommend the program of design to serve as an aid to small industry in India. The government of India set up the national institute of design in 1961 as an autonomous national institution for research, service, and training in industrial design and visual communication. Mr. Gowtham Sarabhai and his sister Gira Sarabhai from the distinguish Sarabhai family played a major role in the establishment of the institute.

The courses available to join in NID include B.Des, M.Des, GDPD & Doctorate of philosophy in design. For the undergraduate program in design at NID Ahmedabad total of 100 years are allocated each year and 285 seats for postgraduate courses are available across India. NID entrance exam design aptitude test DAT which is also popularly called the national entrance exam for design.

NEET is a national level entrance exam organized for admission to PU and PG courses separately by NID each year. NID conducts Prelims and Mains in the DAT exams. The candidates are firstly issued DAT result of the Prelims after the Mains exams the final result is declared that it is on 30% weightage of prelims and 70% weightage of the mains. Whereas for M.Des the intake is based on 20% weightage of prelims and 80% weightage of the mains.
